iPad Cash Register? Yes, We’re Serious.

It’s obvious technology has come a long way. Its entered our cars, helped us find the best places to eat and given us 24/7 access to our friends. It’s helped us a ton, but what has it done for restaurants? Where have they come since printed receipts and the mighty pen?

The answer is starting to cultivate in a start up called Revel Systems, with their new iPad app that takes orders, processess payments and provides reports and analytics for restaurants. Owners can also purchase hardware with the app like credit card swipe, receipt printer, cash drawer, and a barcode scanner and scale for supermarkets. It even runs through the cloud, so that owners can review reports and information from anywhere.

The app and its components have already been installed in franchises like Twistee Treat, Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe and Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen. Some of these places have even implemented kiosks in which the customer can punch in the order themselves.

This is only a small step forward into the future of retail technology. CRM applications on Revel Systems allow businesses to collect customer information, resulting in great retargeting opportunities. It also makes customer surveys even easier to create and conduct. See it in action below:
