Since its voting season, we’ve all been getting a ton of emails.  We’re not going to talk about who we’re voting for but we will say that campaign sends us about five emails per day from former Presidents, pop stars, First Ladies, and more.  These emails are always gracious, brief, respectful and direct.  Pretty great practice for an email campaign. Final tip you can take from this campaign?  Timing is everything.

Great Call-To-Action

It’s no surprise call to actions increase your customer conversion rate.  Why?  People enjoy (and need) motivation.  Call to actions are great!  Use them often.

If you’re already on the call to action train, make sure you’re doing them effectively.  After all people might be excited to use your product but could get turned off with the wrong language.  Make sure you’re writing well and exciting your readers.  Today’s article will go over the basics to building effective call to actions.

The Mighty List

How do people get so much done in one day?  Or a lifetime?  If your days seem long and your goals out of reach, its time to make a list.  Why?  Writing down your goals, brainstorming, and keeping track of your progress is the swiftest path to success…and will help you stay cool along the way.

Get out a (large) piece of paper, pen, and your ideas.  It’s time for some old fashioned list making (also known as effective task management).  These list tips are passed on from Seth Godin, Adam Savage, and our own personal strategies.  Got a pen?  Terrific.  Here we go…

What is in a Name?

What is in a name?  She wondered the same thing…

Whether you’re deciding the name of your business or the name of your domain, make it fun, communicative and memorable.  Best way to do this?  Brainstorm with your partners, employees, friends and family.  Write down a few names on a mock business card then see which words (and ideas) are attractive to you.  Narrow your choices down to five names.  Be picky.

Now…

How do they fly?  Do people like them?  Will they work?  Does another business already own your desired name?  Keep asking.  Keep searching.  Keep going.  Don’t stop.
